I have been supporting women and their families during pregnancy and birth for many years. There is nothing like the day that you courageously bring new life into the world. I can't help but feeling like the support that I have been providing my clients and students has been lacking after the birth. That's when the real work begins! I've finally found something that I believe fills that void. The Bringing Baby Home program is wonderful. Here's why: Caring for a baby is no small task. Not surprisingly 67% of couples experience conflict, disappointment and hurt feelings between them. When relationship satisfaction decreases between couples, that's a big deal. Risks of depression and anxiety increase, and babies suffer. Here's the good news! We know how thriving couples handle the transition into parenthood. Thriving couples build on what Dr. Gottman and colleagues found is the best predictor of marital adjustment after baby arrives: the quality of friendship in the marriage. This class combines scientific research, education, interactive exercises and skill building to improve the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening the family. Parents build relationship satisfaction and create healthy social, emotional and intellectual development for their children. Research tells us that taking a Bringing Baby Home class makes a difference.
I would love for you to join me in an upcoming class! You are welcome in class if you are planning to conceive, pregnant, adopting or have a child that is three years-old or younger. Your "non-mobile" baby is welcome to join you in class.
Classes run from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Saturdays at The Birth Center. I am offering a special introductory rate of $175 per couple or $125 for Birthing From Within students or doula clients. Registration can be found here. Questions? Contact me. firstname.lastname@example.org or 801-428-7296
